Chee Chan Golf Resort
Location: Pattaya City, Thailand
Golf Course Architect: Golfplan
Scope: Concept design, schematic design, design development
Description: The Chee Chan Golf Resort offers a picturesque golf setting with sweeping views of temples, lakes, mountains and glimpses of the ocean in the near distance all adding to the experience. GCH worked closely with Golfplan on the landscape design for the course in Pattaya, along the Gulf of Siam. The course takes advantage of its location between two bays to provide afternoon breezes and panoramic views of the course and nearby resort cities of Pattaya and Jomtien. An interesting feature of the course is the 110 meter Khao Chee Chan Buddha, though offsite it is carved into the mountainside overlooking the opening hole and visible from multiple points throughout.
