Description: GCH was retained by Everett Golf and Country Club to create a dramatic arrival experience along their quarter mile entry road to the Clubhouse. The existing entry road is lined with towering, 100 year old Douglas Fir trees. GCH’s design introduced large movements of native Pacific Northwest understory using Western Sword Fern, boulders and subtle earth mounding. Deep mulching was also used to improve tree health. Vehicular parking was accommodated for in areas which do not negatively impact the arrival experience or tree health. Curbing was provided to control water runoff and night lighting has been added providing a dramatic evening experience.
